BLUESLAND (formerly known as Pure Poison Blues Revue) was renamed in 1999 after a personnel change.  On the current line-up are:

MARC BENNO

From Texas to Hollywood and around the globe, Marc has added hot spicy licks to his recipe for success in the recording industry.  Benno's first love of music is the blues, and you can catch him gettin down on guitar with the band BLUESLAND.  Acts Benno has performed and recorded with include:  The DOORS, Eric Clapton, Lightnin Hopkins, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Mance Lipscomb, Doyle Bramhall II, Leon Russell and many more.

TONY CUELLAR
Tony played in the '80s with the Rhythm Kings and with BLUESLAND former incarnation as Pure Poison Blues Revue.  Tony says:  "I started out playing rock, but fell in love with the blues.  It's like dating the daughter until you find out you like the mother better!"

EARL TUBBS
Originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Earl was raised in a family where everyone played a musical instrument.  Earl was influenced by such artists as JImmy Reed, Elmore James and Chuck Berry.  He has played in the past  with the The Untouchables (1960), King Curtis (1961), James Brown (1965) and Flamations (1968), who were the ex-members of James Brown's band.  After deciding to play music, Earl says:  "My father told me, 'Don't do it!' so I had to."  In addition to playing with BLUESLAND, Earl has appeared with The Sonny Boy Lee Blues Band.

GILBERT "BIG DADDY" GONZALES
Also known as the Shuffle King, Big Daddy also plays with the Blues Trippers, who are based in San Marcos, Texas, and Austin's own Stretch Williams.
