Over the years San Antonio has been the audience to many world famous blues musicians. We have appreciatively welcomed stars from our great state. And we have practically adopted into our music family the fine musicians from our area. We have seen them at all over town at our fine venues. The San Antonio Blues Society is proud to have been part of producing great blues shows locally. For our annual Fiesta Blues Heritage Series and Robert Johnson SA Sessions events we showcase national blues acts along with our regional artists. SABS is involved with the great blues shows brought into San Antonio and it is a rather enjoyable part of our Continuing Missions in the Community.

There have been individuals that have had an incredible impact on the Society. So much so that we want to mention them. Individuals who not only give of their talents and their time, they proactively take on large tasks in support of what we do. Such as placing of the Historical Marker at the Sheraton-Gunter Hotel commemorating the 1936 Recordings by Robert Johnson. Such as the developing of the early SABS media presence. These are just a few examples of driven individuals that have stepped up to the plate when we needed them to. Not seeking acclaim. Just wanting to help in a real Texas big way.
