EXPERIENCE GREAT MUSIC AT GREAT VENUES ! ! Top Shelf Shows! Great Blues featuring SABS Member Artists and touring acts performing at our Member Venues. We thank them for providing top-shelf shows. LOCAL PROTOCOLS FOR COVID-19 CHANGING ... STANDARDS DIFFER For the most part, the venue is responsible for defining and enforcing the COVID-19 Protocols for anyone coming into their establishment. We are talking masking, social distancing, attendance limits, even if attendees will be asked to remain seated (cocktail service). If the venue's version is in compliance with State and Federal guidelines, they are within their rights, and within their responsibility to the public, to define and display attendance requirements. Definitely get out to the clubs and catch top notch shows. Just be prepared: masks, social distancing, seating, and attendance levels. Let's be glad to cooperate, glad to enjoy! |

| LIVE MUSIC AROUND THE AREA The Cove is featuring The Lavens, Will Owen Gage, and other artists at various times throughout the month. For the best chance to catch a performance, and there are few of them these days, make sure to keep an eye on venue and aritist social pages. Weekday afternoons, KSYM 90.1FM is airing live performances by local Member Artists. Once again, keep an eye on the calendars. Get out and catch a show when you can. Tune in to a show when you can. It supports the atists. It supports the venues. It supports music. OUR ARTISTS AND THEIR HOME BREWED SHOWS! In the meantime, let's keep up the great support that has come from all lovers of music in our area. By setting up internet gizmos, you can watch them play live from their homes straight into your house. And people have been donating back to the artists via the internet. Let's amp it up for one big push. Pick an artist every couple of days, catch a live internet show, leave a nice comment, and donate in return to help them continue the wonderful and beautiful thing they do. We all can really use a whole lot of what they do. SUPPORT OUR MEMBER BUSINESSES AROUND THE AREA Our Member Venues and Sponsors are part of San Antonio's business world. They service our communities, feed and entertain our families, employ our citizens. The City of San Antonio have specific guidelines and protocols in place, especially for commercial business. Some of our Member Venues and Sponsors have opened and are following ramp-up models for occupancy. We ask everyone to responsibly support these re-opening businesses. Please follow the rules they must enforce. Many bars have been closed and face fines after being busted for not following simple distancing protocols. This is after they were allowed to re-open. Know what few simple but necessary rules are in effect at the venue you are heading to. Simply checking the websites / social media sites for the artists, venues, and businesses is the smart way to go about it. The City is instructing local commercial businesses to post their current COVID-19 protocols for their business. The simplest standards: if you are ill, do not go out ... avoid contact will ill people as best as possible ... practice social distancing (6 foot) ... if close contact will occur, wear protective facewear - it protects you and it protects others. SHOWS ON THE HORIZON All music lovers are waiting for the all clear so that live music can come back en force. Till then, be patient and creative, keep streaming live shows. (especially those from your SABS artist friends!) Soon, The Cove, The Gruene Grove, La Tuna, Conroy's, and our other places will be ready to rock out. The jams will be back. SABS Artists will return to their residence shows and guest appearances. Sam's is opening up with shows. Great shows are set for The Majestic, The Aztec, and The Tobin.
